Propane...................... Fuel of Choice
For Good, Safe, Economic Reasons

Wilson Gas wants to let you know all the solid reasons why propane is
your best source of energy. Be assured that propane energy is:

* the safest energy
* environmentally friendly
* an economical choice, as much as half the cost of electricity
* domestically produced, reducing dependence on foreign oil

Although propane is a safe fuel, as with other energy products, hazards
may develop with improper installation and poor service. Propane gas is
odorless. For safety, ethyl mercaptan is added to the propane to produce
an unmistakable, sulphurous odor - not unlike rotten eggs. Ask your Wilson
Gas representative to let you smell the gas so that you can identify the
odor. A propane leak is heavier than air and, without proper ventilation,
can collect in low places like basements, pits, and on floors.

If you smell gas, do not touch electrical switches, light matches or use the
phone. Evacuate the home or building.

Shut off the gas valve at the outside tank, meter, or service entrance.

Call your Wilson Gas office and/or the fire department from a neighbor's
phone.

If the pilot won't light, shut off the gas and call Wilson Gas.

Never force the gas control knob and never use tools-use only your hand to
turn the control knob. If the gas control knob becomes difficult to operate
by hand, the control should be serviced by a certified Wilson Gas service
technician.
